This premium omega 3 oil in capsules has been designed to provide the maximum that fish oil has to offer. The combination of high concentrations of DHA (700 mg) and EPA (280 mg) in a 2.5:1 ratio and in natural triglyceride form ensures excellent absorption and availability. We have added organic olive oil rich in polyphenols to increase the antioxidant protection and stability of omega 3 fatty acids. Vitamin K2 in the patented form of VITAL® DELTA and D3 have a synergistic effect on bone⁴⁵, the immune system⁴ and oxidative stress. Everything is supplemented with BIO astaxanthin from organic production in the Giant Mountains.

The fish oil in this product comes from a premium VivoMega® source. Thanks to an advanced molecular distillation process, it meets the highest quality standards. The oil has an ideal ratio of omega 3 fatty acids DHA 2.5:1 EPA for normal brain function¹. It is processed into a natural triglyceride form that provides up to 70% better absorption compared to conventional ethyl esters. Thanks to the extremely low oxidation index (TOTOX = 5), excellent freshness and stability of the oil without unpleasant aftertaste is guaranteed.

The omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA are important for many functions in the body, but the body cannot make enough of them. Regular fish oil supplementation may therefore be beneficial. However, it is important to choose a really high-quality fish oil, otherwise it can manifest itself rather negatively. High-quality omega 3s can support normal brain function - DHA helps maintain it. At the same time, DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision because it is a natural part of the retina of the eye. EPA and DHA also contribute to normal heart function. In addition, higher doses of these acids may support the maintenance of normal triglyceride levels and blood pressure, which are associated with cardiovascular function. *
* Claims about triglycerides and blood pressure are only valid with a daily intake of 2-3 g EPA+DHA according to approved health claims.

Proper cell membrane function depends on a balanced ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Cell membranes must be permeable enough to allow nutrients to pass in and waste substances to pass out. The ideal ratio of these essential fats in the body should be preferably below 1:5, optimally 1:3, but in Europe it is commonly as high as 1:15, which interferes with proper cellular processes. So today, the intake of omega 6 fatty acids is often excessive, requiring an increased intake of omega 3 to maintain balance.

Fish oil from small fish such as anchovies, sardines and herring is considered to be of higher quality and purer. These fish are lower on the food chain, which means they accumulate less heavy metals, toxins and other pollutants that can build up in larger predatory fish. Due to their short lifespan and rapid growth, they also have higher omega-3 fatty acid content relative to their weight. The oil from these small fish is therefore not only more environmentally friendly, but also more nutritious, cleaner and safer for regular consumption. VivoMega® is committed to organic and responsible fish oil production and offers full transparency and traceability from the initial catch to the finished product.

Astaxanthin has been the subject of several studies investigating its potential health benefits.

The TOTOX value indicates how fresh and protected from air and light damage the oil is. Low TOTOX means that the oil retains its fresh taste, stability and potency of all important nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids. If oxidation is high, the oil may lose quality, taste unpleasant and contain undesirable substances. VivoMega® boasts the lowest limits of environmental toxins in the world. Each dose provides maximum health benefits without compromising purity or taste.

Oxidation stability and purity are essential indicators not only of the quality of omega 3 oils, but also of whether they have a positive or negative effect on the body. That is why these values are important to us. TOTOX and other indicators reflect the extent of oxidation and therefore the freshness and stability of the product. At the same time, we also monitor the levels of heavy metals such as arsenic and mercury and other environmental contaminants including dioxins and PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls). The results of the analyses guarantee the positive effect of the oil and its suitability for long-term supplementation.
Ask your omega 3 supplier for up-to-date oxidative quality indicator values! Most dealers prefer not to show this value because they are often oxidized. Such definitely do not contribute to health, as a recent National Geographic study mentions. With Brainmax Omega 3, you can be sure you are taking the best.

Oxidised omega is recognised by fishy smell, fishy belching or indigestion. At that point, however, it's too late for you, so it's better to monitor the oxidation values. When is TOTOX more valuable to you and when is the peroxide value (PV)? TOTOX (2 x PV + p-AV) makes sense for normal, discoloured and unflavoured oils such as colourless fish oils. However, when natural pigments are present in the oil (e.g. astaxanthin, chlorophyll in algae oils) or flavours, the anisidine value (p-AV) is often distorted. In this case it is more reliable to follow only the peroxide number (PV).

Thanks to the synergistic combination of BIO olive oil, vitamin E and BIO astaxanthin, the fish oil in this product is highly stable and protected from oxidation. Tocopherols and polyphenols from olive oil act as a first line of defense, neutralizing free radicals and preventing fatty acid peroxidation. Astaxanthin, as one of the most powerful natural carotenoids, provides long-term protection not only for the oil itself, but also for the omega-3 acids once they are absorbed into the body. This multi-level protection prolongs the freshness of the product, minimizes oxidation processes and ensures maximum efficiency of omega-3 fatty acids in their use in the body.

We used vitamin K2 as MK-7 as a patented form from the Norwegian brand K2VITAL®DELTA. It is the most absorbable form of vitamin K2. Of all the K vitamins, it has the longest half-life, meaning it stays in the body for up to 72 hours! It is protected by a spherical shell and is thus sufficiently protected both during production and in the gastrointestinal tract. This helps it maintain high stability even at high temperatures. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and the maintenance of normal bone health.

Kappa has also conducted research on the quality, stability and efficacy of Vitamin K2 in dietary supplements in non-mineral combinations where stability should not be an issue. Half of these non-mineral vitamin K2 products had quality problems, with a full one-third of the sample showing no measurable vitamin K2 content (zero). In one fifth of the products, the vitamin K2 content was measured in the range of 26-75% compared to the declared amount on the label. Only a quarter of the products had measured vitamin K2 levels that matched the label.

This patented form of vitamin K2 in MK7 all-trans form is much more stable than other forms of vitamin K2. It is characterized by high availability and bioavailability. Compared to conventional forms of vitamin K2, which have a half-life of 1.5 hours, this form of vitamin K2 remains in the body for 78 hours. This means 48 times longer half-life in the body.
