Superior optical performance for sharp and detailed images
The Canon RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM uses a new optical design that incorporates three aspherical elements and two ultra-low dispersion (UD) optical elements to help eliminate chromatic and spherical aberrations and ensure high image quality. Coating Canon Super Spectra Coating minimizes glare and ghosting, resulting in better contrast and colour fidelity, even when shooting against the light. The lens offers excellent clarity and sharpness throughout the image, even at the widest zoom setting.
Image stabilization and silent autofocus for videos and photos
With built-in optical image stabilization, the Canon RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM provides shake reduction of up to 4 EV, ensuring stable results even with long exposures. When used with EOS R cameras that have in-body image stabilization (IBIS), Coordinated IS allows up to 6 EV correction. The lens is also equipped with an STM stepper motor that provides quiet and smooth autofocus, which is especially appreciated by video makers who need quiet and stable focusing performance without sound interference.
Compact and lightweight design for maximum portability
Weighing only 150g, the Canon RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM is extremely lightweight and compact, making it the ideal companion for travel and everyday photography. The lens is also equipped with a retractable mechanism to ensure easy folding and portability. Its design makes it easy to transport the lens without the need for a switch, adding convenience when using it on the go.
