EATON UPS 5PX 3000i RT2U Netpack Gen2

The EATON 5PX 3000i RT2U with Netpack Gen2 UPS provides power protection for servers, storage, and network devices. It uses line-interactive topology with a power output of 3000VA which, thanks to a power factor of 1.0, corresponds to a real power of 3000W to fully supply the connected equipment. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) function corrects network fluctuations without switching to the battery, thereby preserving its lifespan. This 3000VA UPS ensures reliable protection for critical IT infrastructure, and its versatile 2U design supports both rack installation and a standalone tower configuration. The package includes a Netpack Gen2 network card, which immediately provides advanced remote management and network monitoring functions upon connection.

Topology and power

This power supply uses a line-interactive topology with an Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) function, which stabilises the output voltage without switching to the battery. It provides an apparent power of 3000VA and a real power of 3000W. A high efficiency of 98% reduces operating costs and heat generation. At full load, the backup time is 9 minutes, giving you enough time to save your work and safely shut down your systems.

The supply contains six maintenance-free 6× 12V / 9Ah lead-acid batteries that are easily hot-swappable by the user. Advanced Battery Management (ABM) uses three-stage charging with temperature compensation, extending their lifespan. The system protects the batteries against deep discharge and automatically tests their condition. External Battery Modules (EBM) can be connected for a longer backup time.

Management, software and connectivity

The power supply includes USB (HID compliant) and RS232 ports for communication and management. A network card for full network control is included in the package. The Eaton Intelligent Power Manager software provides centralised supervision and integration with virtualisation platforms. Mini terminal blocks provide remote power off (RPO/ROO) and status signalling via an output relay. Input connection is provided by an IEC C20 connector. To power connected devices, there are eight IEC C13 sockets and two more powerful IEC C19 sockets available.
