The main goal of their mission is to save the Parthian king himself, who is on the verge of death due to an insidious poison. It was given to him by a treacherous sorcerer who serves the interests of the Roman emperor Caesar. Asterix and Obelix must join forces to thwart the plans of Rome's enemies and bring hope to a distant kingdom.
