The console includes pre-installed games from classic arcade, adventure and puzzle titles. And its user-friendly interface lets you easily switch between games and rediscover your favourite classics. The Spectrum also features the ability to connect original game controllers.
The Spectrum features a fully functional replica of the original keyboard that closely mimics the feel gamers had when playing games in the 1980s. Includes 48 pre-installed games, including legendary titles such as Manic Miner, The Hobbit and Head Over Heels, that defined the era of 8-bit gaming. Known for their challenge and innovative game mechanics, these games can now be replayed with the ultimate authenticity provided by a faithful ZX Spectrum replica.
The Spectrum offers multi-region output in 720 HD resolution via HDMI, which is fully compatible with both PAL (50 Hz) and NTSC (60 Hz) standards. So you can enjoy the games in high quality on modern screens. The console allows you to choose between the original 4:3 aspect ratio, which preserves the authentic look of games, or a more modern pixel-perfect display, which will be appreciated by gamers who prefer a sharper image. For true retro enthusiasts there is also the option to turn on CRT filters, that mimic old TV screens for a unique nostalgic effect.
The Spectrum brings players not only an authentic retro experience, but also modern features that make gaming easier. One of them is the ability to choose from 12 attractive borders around the games. Whether you prefer a minimalist design or something more thematic, you'll always find an edge that complements your experience. The console also offers a convenient save function, you can save your game at any time in one of 4 positions for each game and revisit favourite moments or correct mistakes that cost you a win. Another useful feature is the ability to rewind the game by up to 40 seconds. Plus, if you have your own games, you can simply run them using a USB flash drive, because the console supports a variety of file formats, including TAP, TZX, PZX, SZX, Z80 and SNA. This allows you to load and play games that aren't pre-installed directly on the console, increasing the possibility of discovering new and forgotten titles.
