GoPro HERO12 Black

GoPro HERO12 Black shoots 5.3K video in quality that will blow your mind

5.3K60, 4K120 and 2.7K240 modes in best-in-class image quality.

New HDR video captures life-like detail

HDR (High Dynamic Range) video brings even more detail in brighter areas and shadows.

Incredible Video Stabilisation - Hypersmooth 6.0

The GoPro HERO12 Black features Hypersmooth 6.0, Emmy® Award-winning video stabilization, with AutoBoost that automatically determines the level of stabilization needed. Plus, with Horizon Lock, the shot will be stable even when the camera is rotated a full 360° during shooting. ¹

¹Horizon Lock is not available when recording video in 5.3K60, 4K120, 2.7K240 and 1080p240 modes. In these modes, the Horizon Alignment function will be used.

Up to 2x longer battery life

GoPro HERO12 Black delivers 2x longer continuous recording time at 5.3K60 (70 minutes) thanks to improved power management², plus more than 1.5 hours at 5.3K30 and more than 2.5 hours of continuous recording at 1080p30. ³

Up to 8× Slo-Mo

Slow down your video 4x - that's 120 frames per second - at stunning 4K resolution with GoPro HERO12 Black. Or you can increase the slowdown up to 8× - 240 frames per second - at 2.7K resolution.

Built-in horizon lock

Horizon lock is built into HyperSmooth 6.0, making it easier than ever to keep the horizon level when the GoPro HERO12 Black rotates a full 360°. ⁴

Ultra wide-angle digital lenses

HyperView and SuperView - both GoPro-exclusive digital lenses - enable ultra-wide 16:9 aspect ratio, standard on HERO12 Black. If you want even wider shots, consider accessories Max Lens Mod 2.0.

10-bit colours

The 10-bit colours in GoPro HERO12 Black allow for more realistic footage with improved colour depth and smoother transitions. And professional filmmakers can take advantage of GP-Log encoding with LUTs for maximum dynamic range before colour grading.

Shoot Wide, Vertical or Full Frame videos

Simply tap to switch between widescreen and the new vertical mode - choose whether you want to shoot traditional widescreen video or social media material. Or, for maximum versatility, record in Full Frame and decide later in Quik.

New time code synchronisation function

Wirelessly sync multiple GoPro HERO12 Black cameras using a time code in the Quik app. Perfect when you want to record activity from multiple angles and later create frame-accurate edits from the footage. Clips with matching timecodes can be used in Adobe Premiere Pro and other editing applications that support multi-camera editing.

HERO 12 Black now supports audio over Bluetooth®

You can now use Apple AirPods, Bluetooth earbuds and other wireless microphones during interviews and commentary. You can also enter voice commands and hear alerts from the camera.

²Compared to the HERO11 Black 5.3K60, which records for 35 minutes before shutting down due to temperature, at 25°C and 0.6m/sec wind speed. ³Time measured at 25°C and 0.6m/sec wind speed with wide-angle digital lens; wireless, Bluetooth and HyperSmooth enabled;
Front and rear LCD screen set to 1-minute saver; voice control off. ⁴Horizon Lock is not available with 5.3K60, 4K120, 2.7K240 and 1080p240 video. Horizon Equalization will be used for these challenging modes.

Ultra durable + waterproof

The GoPro HERO12 Black is completely waterproof to 10m, right out of the box. Moreover, it is designed to withstand harsh treatment. HERO12 Black isn't afraid of what your phone does. Further protection is provided by a replaceable lens cover, which is both scratch and water resistant.

Endless attachment possibilities

GoPro has mounts to help you with every shot. Capture your adventures in new, exciting ways and see them like never before. Or shoot from your own perspective and relive the wonderful moments as you first saw them.

Night effects at the touch of a button

The three time-lapse and photo modes in GoPro HERO12 Black take your nighttime effects creativity to a whole new level.

Star Trails mode

The GoPro HERO12 Black can capture the light paths of stars in the night sky thanks to the Earth's rotation.

Light painting

Using the Light Painting mode, you can use your GoPro camera to create vibrant brushstroke effects using moving light.

Vehicle Light Trails mode

Capture the atmosphere of nighttime traffic with the GoPro HERO12 Black and capture captivating footage of vehicle light lines.
