Hobbyzone Apprentice STOL S 0.7m SAFE RTF
The Hobbyzone Apprentice STOL S 0.7m SAFE is a great RC model aircraft for beginner pilots as it has a SAFE (flight envelope protection) function. It is made of durable EPO material, contains complete equipment including a LiPol battery and charger and an access code for installing the RealFlight Trainer Edition simulator. The model has a powerful brushless motor and a 6 channel RC transmitter Spektrum SLT6 2,4 GHz. SAFE technology
The Apprentice STOL S 700 mm is equipped with Horizon Hobby's exclusive and innovative SAFE technology that allows virtually anyone to learn to fly successfully. Exclusive SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, helps reduce dangerous pitching during flight and thus prevent crashes. Climb, the sinking and lateral roll shall not exceed the permissible limit, therefore, there is no uncontrollable fall, however, it should always be remembered, that the model must move at speed, which will ensure sufficient lift on the wing. If you happen to lose control of the model aircraft in more advanced flight modes, simply switch to beginner mode and release the control stick. SAFE Plus technology automatically returns the aircraft to level flight.
Powerful model with AS3X stabilization and flight modes
The model contains a powerful brushless motor with installed controller, receiver and servos. The RTF version comes in the box with everything you need to fly, including a Spektrum battery, charger and SLT6 transmitter, equipped with a USB-C port for direct connection to a computer for easy plug-and-play use. As a bonus, the basic version of the RealFlight Trainer Edition RC flight simulator is included. The electronics of the model allows the use of flight modes, Beginner with less bank, Advanced with more bank and Expert without restrictions. The turbulent environment is effectively compensated by the 3-axis gyro AS3X, so the model can fly even in less wind.
Mode for beginners, advanced and experienced pilots
The Beginner mode has electronically limited bank angle and pitch and sink angles, and when the stick is released to neutral, the model settles in a horizontal position, the engine speed is regulated according to the pitch or sink, and electronic take-off and landing assistance is available. Advanced Mode has a higher tilt allowed but will not cause the model to roll over on its back or fall. Flight positions are limited to about 60° of pitching and yawing. There is already more control freedom and minimal flight corrections are made. In the Experienced flight mode, the control is completely free with no flight position restrictions. You can perform any aerobatic turns you want, SAFE stabilization is disabled.
Ultra-micro model Apprentice STOL S 700 mm
The Apprentice STOL S 700mm has been scaled down from the popular Apprentice 1.5m and 1.2m models, but has also been designed to offer STOL options similar to the E-flite Timber range. It is in an "ultra-micro" size to make it more accessible and convenient for flying in smaller spaces such as parks, playgrounds, etc. The construction of strong, rigid and lightweight EPO material gives the model great durability,so it's strong enough to handle frequent flying. This makes the Apprentice STOL S 700 mm the most durable ultra-micro trainer yet. And in the unfortunate event that you damage a part of the model and can no longer repair it, spare parts are available.
Sophisticated design
Thanks to the large wheels with oversized tires, it is possible to take off and land from low grass, dirt and worse surfaces. The model's advanced airframe construction of lightweight and highly durable EPO foam with a removable wing makes transport, storage and replacement as easy as possible. 4-channel model control plus SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology With flight modes for beginners, advanced and experienced, it makes it easy to learn to fly and then progress to perform aerobatics including flips, spins and even backflying.
Steam Key
The RTF version includes a Steam key as a bonus to download and activate the training version of the RC flight simulator RealFlight Trainer Edition. The simulator features a number of popular Horizon Hobby trainer aircraft and helicopters, including the Apprentice STOL S 700 mm, and a virtual flight instructor lesson. Training can help new pilots learn to fly successfully on a desktop computer at home or on a laptop. Simply use the included USB-C cable (not included) to connect the included SLT6 transmitter to a compatible USB port on your computer and you can fly for up to 100 minutes. But then you can buy the full RealFlight Trainer Edition or Evolution and fly as long as you want.
Brushless motor outrunne and big tires
The outrunner AC motor installed is compatible with affordable and common 2S 300mAh rechargeable LiPol batteries. It's more powerful and efficient than DC motors, giving the Apprentice STOL S the ability to fly in light winds that other ultra-micro models usually can't handle. Large tires and steerable tailwheel allow taxiing, launching and landing on a variety of surfaces that most models of this size can't handle. From grass surfaces in many parks and sports grounds to gravel paths and paved surfaces.
