Processor cores and threads
Processor cores, to a certain extent, work as separate processors and can handle computational tasks independently of each other. This means the more physical cores a processor has, the more tasks it can process simultaneously. Threads can be described as separate virtual cores, which all modern processors have. An eight-core processor typically has sixteen threads, meaning it can handle sixteen processes at the same time.
Processor frequency
