The Inter-Tech IPC 4U-4088-S computer case provides the foundation for server assemblies designed for mounting in 19-inch rack cabinets with a 4U height. The durable steel chassis effectively protects internal components while providing ample space to install standard computer parts in a server environment. The robust 1.2mm thick steel casing ensures secure hardware storage and high variability when installing data drives.

Internal layout and drive management
The internal layout uses a system that facilitates component management even in demanding conditions. A cross brace inside the case increases the overall frame rigidity and acts as a support element for mounting additional drives. Removable drive cages allow for convenient hard drive installation outside the case, which speeds up assembly and simplifies cable management. This system significantly reduces the time needed for maintenance or replacing data storage.
Cooling system and connectivity
The cooling system uses a pre-installed 120mm fan at the front, which draws cool air through a dust filter directly to the drive bays. To enhance airflow, you can add a pair of 80mm fans to the rear panel to exhaust hot air out of the case. The front panel features two USB ports for quick connection of external peripherals and a set of LEDs. These elements inform the operator about the power status and hard drive activity.
Internal space and security
The internal space accommodates motherboards up to ATX format and graphics cards with a length of 275mm. An integrated expansion card holder secures the installed components in place, preventing them from coming loose or being damaged by vibrations. In addition, the lockable front door prevents unauthorised access to control buttons and external drives, which increases the physical security of the server.
