Rangefinder and its use
The rangefinder can operate in scanning mode or take individual distance measurements. There is also a target priority option for focusing the object in the foreground or background. For example, if you are looking at an object through tree branches, setting the priority of the second (distant) target will ensure that the rangefinder ignores obstacles in the foreground and accurately calculates the distance to the background target. First target priority (foreground targets) is a mode that works similarly, but is used to detect nearby targets and ignore the background. Binoculars can measure straight and horizontal distances and perform angle calculations in the field. When the target is below or above the shooter, measuring the angle and distance is particularly important.
