Long battery 12V 5Ah F1 (WP5-12)

The LONG WP5-12 is a lead-acid battery designed for use in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). It provides a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 5Ah to power connected devices during a power outage. Thanks to AGM technology, where the electrolyte is absorbed into fibreglass, the battery is completely maintenance-free. Additionally, the VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) design allows for operation in any position without the risk of electrolyte leakage. It has a service life of 3 to 5 years in standby mode.

AGM and VRLA technology

The LONG WP5-12 battery is built on VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) technology. This design is hermetically sealed, which prevents gas from escaping during normal operation and minimises the risk of corrosion to surrounding components. It is complemented by AGM technology, where the electrolyte is absorbed into fibreglass mats between the lead plates. This makes the battery resistant to vibrations and ensures there is no risk of acid leakage, even when not positioned upright.

Maintenance-free operation and service life

The battery requires no maintenance. Thanks to the sealed VRLA design and AGM technology, there is no need to top it up with distilled water, as is the case with conventional flooded batteries. The battery is designed for a service life of 3 to 5 years in standby mode, which is typical for uninterruptible power supplies. It maintains stable performance throughout its entire life without requiring any servicing.

Universal use and connectivity

The battery is fitted with F1 (Faston 187) type connectors, which are commonly used in uninterruptible power supplies and other electronic devices. This connection makes replacement and installation easy without the need for modifications. The ability to operate in any position, whether vertically or horizontally, makes the battery flexible to install. Its design therefore allows it to be placed in various types of equipment regardless of their internal layout.
