How to prepare matcha?
One heaped teaspoon and 200 ml of water heated to approximately 70 °C will be sufficient. It is important that the water is not too hot, as the matcha may acquire a bitter taste. It is best to stir the matcha with a bamboo whisk until a fine foam on the surface is formed, indicating that the drink is properly prepared and the powder is fully dissolved. You can drink the finished matcha alone or add it to milk, smoothies or yoghurt, where it will greatly enliven the taste and add a natural dose of energy. It is also excellent as an ingredient in baking or desserts, such as matcha muffins or custard.
