Fast and effective washing with the QuickPowerWash programme
The QuickPowerWash programme, combined with UltraTabs All in 1 tablets, delivers perfectly washed and dry dishes in approximately 58 minutes. The specially developed tablets dissolve within 2–3 minutes, so the cleaning action starts immediately, making the entire washing process maximally effective from the very first moments.
Dishwasher with advanced AutoOpen drying
The AutoOpen technology automatically opens the door of the MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher slightly after the programme has finished. This allows built-up steam to escape naturally, promoting perfect drying of dishes, including plastic items. A specially designed system also protects the worktop from moisture and, together with optimised airflow, ensures maximum drying efficiency in this model.
Comfort basket system for flexible dish arrangement
The Comfort system offers a practical and well-thought-out layout of the MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher's interior. The original MIELE cutlery tray washes your cutlery thoroughly yet gently. The height-adjustable upper basket, in conjunction with the MultiComfort area in the lower basket, ensures a variable arrangement for different types of crockery, so every item has a stable and secure place. In addition, the colourful FlexAssist elements help you quickly identify the movable parts and make optimal use of the basket space.
FlexAssist for quick and easy basket adjustment
The FlexAssist markings show which basket elements can be moved or adjusted according to your current needs. Coloured symbols, such as a cup or a wine glass, indicate the optimal use for that area. They also serve as practical handles, letting you instantly take advantage of the basket's full flexibility and conveniently adapt the space in the MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher for different types of dishes.
3D-MultiFlex cutlery tray for maximum flexibility
The 3D-MultiFlex cutlery tray in the MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher offers an improved layout for cutlery and small kitchen utensils. It consists of a lowered central section and two side sections that can be individually adjusted – the left section can be pushed to the right to free up space in the upper basket for tall wine glasses, while the lowered right section can comfortably accommodate large cutlery and smaller items. This clever system makes it possible to use every centimetre of the tray and ensure optimal washing and drying for all items, whether it's cutlery, espresso cups, or other small pieces.
MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus holds up to 14 place settings
The MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher comfortably holds up to 14 place settings. The baskets are designed with flexibility and efficiency in mind, so every piece of crockery finds its place and all items are perfectly clean and dry after washing. Thanks to the FlexAssist elements, loading cutlery and smaller items is quick, intuitive, and extremely practical.
Half load
The dishwasher automatically detects the amount of crockery loaded and adjusts the water and energy consumption in standard programmes according to the current load. With this intelligent optimisation, you can wash smaller amounts of dishes without any worries – no need to wait for a full load.
EcoPower technology for economical washing
The ECO programme reduces water consumption to just 8.4 litres, which also reduces the amount of energy needed for heating. This water saving is made possible by a clever inflow system and a highly efficient filter system. Additional insulation minimises heat loss and, together with optimised water flow, contributes to even lower energy consumption and maximum washing efficiency.
MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus washes exclusively with fresh water
The MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus uses only fresh water and, in the Automatic programme, washes dishes with just 6 litres of water, which is less than the volume of a standard kitchen sink. This technology has reduced water consumption by up to 85% and has also lowered electricity consumption. In the ECO programme, the dishwasher achieves a record low of just 0.52kWh, ensuring maximum energy and water savings.
Washing programmes for every occasion
The MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus offers a wide range of programmes and additional functions, covering various washing needs. The selectable programmes ensure flexible and efficient washing for different types of dishes and situations – whether you need an eco-friendly cycle, an intensive wash, or a quick clean.
- Automatic – a universal programme suitable for normally soiled mixed crockery; it adjusts the washing parameters according to the level of soiling.
- ECO programme – with minimal water and energy consumption, ideal for daily washing of regularly used dishes.
- Intensive 75°C – a stronger washing programme for durable and heavily soiled items, such as pots and pans.
- PowerWash 60°C – a fast and effective programme for regular dishes with normal food residue.
- QuickPowerWash – a programme for the best washing and drying results for normally soiled dishes in approximately 58 minutes; created from PowerWash 60°C with the additional Quick function.
- Gentle – a gentle programme for delicate glassware and sensitive dishes.
- Express – an option to shorten the wash time by up to 50% for quick results with a smaller load.
- ExtraClean – an optional feature that increases cleaning power without compromising on wash quality.
- ExtraDry – an option for more intensive drying, so even glasses and plastic items are dry after the cycle.
ComfortClose for easy door opening and closing
The MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher's door opens and closes with exceptional ease, making it comfortable and effortless to handle. What's more, it remains stable in any position you choose – whether the door is slightly ajar for quick access to dishes, or fully open when loading and unloading the baskets. This feature enhances convenience during daily use.
Brilliant GlassCare for perfect glassware care
The Brilliant GlassCare system ensures exceptionally gentle washing of delicate glassware. The Gentle programme operates at a low temperature of 45°C, so even thin glasses are protected throughout the wash cycle. Wine glasses can be placed securely in the FlexCare holder with silicone inserts, which hold them steady during the wash. After the programme finishes, the patented AutoOpen function automatically opens the door, allowing items to dry naturally without needing to be polished by hand. Precisely formulated detergents with glass-protection ingredients also contribute to optimal care, keeping your glasses shiny and damage-free.
The MIELE dishwasher can be connected to a hot water supply
The MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus can be connected to a hot water supply of up to 60°C. This connection reduces electricity consumption by up to 35% and simultaneously shortens the programme duration by up to 10%. In the ECO programme, the dishwasher's electricity consumption drops to as low as 0.29kWh, ensuring ecological and economical operation.
MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus has a Waterproof System for maximum safety
The Waterproof System (WPS) is equipped with a second solenoid valve directly on the water tap, which automatically shuts off the water supply if the first valve fails. The double-walled inlet hose provides an additional level of safety for the MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL dishwasher – if the inner hose gets damaged, water is channelled through the outer hose into the dishwasher's sump, minimising the risk of water leaks and ensuring reliable, safe operation.
Tested for a 20-year lifespan
The MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher was tested during development to withstand 20 years of regular use. During the testing phase, the model and its key components underwent 5600 wash cycles (equivalent to an average of 280 cycles per year for 20 years) across various programmes – day and night – to verify their reliability and long-term performance. Thanks to these thorough tests, you can be confident of excellent washing and drying results for the entire lifespan of the appliance, year after year.
Effective against viruses – scientifically proven
The MIELE G 5856 SCVi XXL Active Plus dishwasher has been scientifically proven to offer a high level of hygiene. During the wash process, more than 99.9% of viruses are removed, ensuring safe and perfectly clean dishes. This feature provides reliable protection and promotes a healthy home environment where hygiene is a priority.
