There is no MCT oil like MCT oil
Production, quality and cleanliness are critical parameters that vary between manufacturers. Power C8 MCT Oil is really much more effective than regular coconut oil due to its composition. More than 50% of the composition of coconut oil is lauric acid (C12), which in practice is no longer considered a medium-chain triglyceride (MCT). So while it has its benefits, lauric acid is not a quick source of energy.
Of all the fats, caprylic acid (C8), which makes up only 6% of coconut oil, is the most efficient and fastest to convert to ketones. Most MCT oils on the market are a blend of C8 and C10 in various ratios. The lower quality ones also contain residues of other fats, or residues of other substances (impurities) after oil processing.
