LP Record The Last of Us is considered a milestone in video game history. Now, the second instalment for PlayStation 4 is here, rightly described as a “horrifying masterpiece” (Stern). It creates an outstanding atmosphere with a brilliant soundtrack by multi-Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla – a mix of Latin American acoustic guitars and ever-present ambient synth pads – and state-of-the-art motion capture technology! Five years after their perilous journey across the post-apocalyptic United States, protagonists Ellie and Joel have settled in Jackson, Wyoming. Here, they live in peace and harmony among a community of survivors, but their tranquil existence is shattered by a violent incident.
