Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Beast

Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Beast
The Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Beast router manages and secures computer networks in an enterprise environment. This 1U rack-mounted device combines advanced routing functions, a security gateway and a camera management system. An integrated 2.1GHz octa-core ARM v9 processor is complemented by 16GB of system memory for smooth network traffic processing. It supports over 7500 concurrent users without any drop in performance.
Key features of the Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Beast router
- The network element has a 2.1GHz octa-core ARM v9 processor
- The device includes an integrated 128GB SSD
- The aluminium and steel metal chassis fits a 1U rackmount
- The router supports SD-WAN technology without requiring a licence
- The front panel has a 1.3" touchscreen display
- The system manages over 750 UniFi elements and 100 HD cameras
High-speed ports
It offers multiple interfaces with support for transfer speeds of up to 25Gb/s. Connectivity is provided by two high-speed 25G SFP28 ports along with two 10G SFP+ ports and eight 10GbE RJ45 ports. Two 1GbE RJ45 ports are also available for standard connections. The connectors link other network elements, servers or data storage within the corporate infrastructure.
Advanced security rules
The security system analyses packets and detects threats with a throughput of up to 25Gb/s. Content filtering and integrated ad blocking protect users from unwanted websites and malicious code. The Layer 7 firewall identifies application traffic on the network. Protection is also provided by a database with over 55000 CyberSecure signatures.
Camera management
The system coordinates an extensive infrastructure of corporate elements within the UniFi Application Suite. Manage over 750 UniFi devices in a unified interface that integrates the Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect applications. It handles up to 100 HD cameras, or 60 cameras with 2K resolution, or 40 cameras with 4K resolution, as well as up to 200 access hubs.
Integrated storage for recordings
Two 3.5" hard drive bays are available for storing video recordings from cameras. The built-in 128GB SSD speeds up the responsiveness of the operating system and applications. The device's power supply can be backed up via an external DC input (USP-RPS) in case of an unexpected primary power failure, with a maximum power consumption of 100W.
Secure VPN
The router supports encrypted tunnels to securely connect branch offices and remote users. Licence-free SD-WAN technology simplifies the management of virtual private networks without additional fees. Users can utilise WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec and L2TP protocols for secure connections. The system allows you to set up both a VPN server and client mode for flexible routing.
Rackmount design and touchscreen display
The aluminium and steel metal body has a standard size for mounting in a 1U rack position. The 1.3" LCM touchscreen display shows the current network status, load and system parameters directly on the front panel. Efficient cooling dissipates 342 BTU/hr of heat, contributing to stable operation within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40°C.
