Smart plug with energy monitoring and Matter support
The Shelly Plug M Gen3 smart plug allows you to remotely control connected appliances, monitor their energy consumption, and create automations to simplify your daily household routine. Thanks to its Wi-Fi connection, you can control it via the Shelly Smart Control app without needing a separate hub, while Matter support makes it easy to integrate the plug into compatible smart home ecosystems. The Shelly Plug M Gen3 can switch appliances with a current of up to 13A and a power of up to 3,000W under a resistive load, making it suitable for lamps, fans, heating devices, or other common household appliances. The built-in power and energy consumption monitoring gives you an overview of the operation of connected devices and allows you to create smart scenarios—for example, a notification when a washing cycle is complete based on a drop in power draw, or automatic heating control based on data from a compatible temperature sensor. The Shelly Plug M Gen3 smart plug also supports locally stored schedules and timers, meaning selected automations can function even during an internet outage. Safe operation is ensured by overheating protection and a multi-colour LED indicator. Additionally, the built-in Bluetooth gateway allows you to transfer data from compatible Shelly BLU devices to your home network, and the Wi-Fi extender function helps to expand coverage for other Shelly devices. The package contains four Shelly Plug M Gen3 smart plugs.
Via the Google Home app, you can control smart light bulbs, thermostats, cameras, or speakers, all from one place, by touch or by voice. Everything you need is set up according to on-screen instructions in the app installed on your smartphone. Google Home supports thousands of devices from various manufacturers.
Apple Home is an app that has become a key tool for smart home users in the Apple ecosystem. It allows you to easily manage all your smart devices in one place—from lighting and thermostats to locks and cameras. If you already use Apple devices like an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch, Apple Home is the ideal way to connect your technology and create a home that adapts to your needs.
Samsung SmartThings is an ecosystem that includes an app for easy control and management of smart devices in your home. You can use it to remotely switch appliances on and off, set up automations, or monitor the status of connected devices. The app supports not only Samsung products but also a range of other brands marked with the "Works with SmartThings" logo.
To use the product's smart functions, you need to add the device to the manufacturer's app. You can find more information about the app (name, supported OS, supported languages) and how to add the device to it in the product manual.
With the Shelly Plug M Gen3 smart plug, you no longer have to wonder if you turned off the lamp, fan, iron, or other connected device before leaving. Using the countdown timer and locally stored schedules, you can set the appliance to automatically switch off after a selected time. What's more, the set schedules work locally even during an internet outage. The Shelly Plug M Gen3 helps you reduce unnecessary energy consumption and automate the daily operation of your appliances without needing to constantly check on them.
In conjunction with the Shelly H&T Gen3 temperature sensor, the Shelly Plug M Gen3 smart plug allows you to automatically control a portable heater based on the current room temperature. In the Shelly Smart Control app, you simply create a scene that automatically turns on the connected heater when the temperature drops below a set value and turns it off again once the desired temperature is reached. The Shelly Plug M Gen3 thus helps to maintain a comfortable climate without constant manual adjustments, while also limiting unnecessary heater operation.
With the Shelly Plug M Gen3, you don't have to repeatedly check if the washing machine or dishwasher has finished its cycle. The smart plug continuously monitors the energy consumption of the connected appliance and can detect a drop in power after the washing or dishwashing cycle has ended. You can then receive a notification via the Shelly Smart Control app that the laundry is done or the dishes are clean. The smart plug saves you from unnecessary checks on your appliances and gives you a better overview of their operation and energy consumption.
The Shelly Plug M Gen3 smart plug can make it seem like your home is occupied even when you're on holiday or away on a business trip. In the Shelly Smart Control app, you can set schedules for automatically switching on and off lamps or other connected devices, which can mimic your regular daily routine. For example, the smart plug can automatically turn on a lamp in the evening and then turn it off again later, without you having to control the device remotely.
The Shelly Plug M Gen3 smart plug uses Gen3 series technology with a powerful Shelly chip and 8MB of flash memory, providing ample space for modern features and future device development. Thanks to its support for the Matter standard, you can easily integrate the plug into compatible smart home ecosystems and control it alongside devices from various manufacturers. The plug also supports virtual components, allowing you to incorporate selected third-party devices into a unified control environment within the Shelly Smart Control app. This gives you more flexible options for creating automations and connecting individual smart home elements.
