Brugal 1888 is a blend of exceptional Dominican molasses rums, which mature in American ex-bourbon barrels and European ex-sherry casks through a double-ageing process totalling 12 years. To properly enjoy the delicate Brugal 1888 from the sunny Dominican Republic, the producer recommends serving it at a temperature of 24–26 degrees. Brugal 1888 rum has a dark amber colour with a red undertone. On the palate, the rum has a well-rounded and smooth body. Brugal 1888 contains the sweetness of caramel and the flavour of vanilla, balanced with peaches, cocoa, and cloves. When you smell the rum, you can detect the sweetness of dried fruit, raisins, and dates. The aroma is complemented by a spicy woodiness with hints of cinnamon.
