Appearance deceives
Beneath the façade of an ordinary-looking watch is a SmartWatch, which is like an extended handphone and with the uncompromising sporttester. The Garmin Fenix 5 is equipped with a sensitive GPS/GLONASS receiver and with a new steel EXO antenna placed around the Chroma colour display. It stays on all the time while it is in use, and it can last for example in the Smart mode for up to 12 days on a single battery charge.
Daily Activity Monitoring
The Fénix 5 Smartwatch offers you the opportunity to monitor your all-day activities. It is possible to determine the target number of steps per day, track the distance travelled + number of steps, display calories burned, including the passive ones. The Garmin Connect web interface also provides the possibility to evaluate and compare your performance in detail, and in conjunction with the heart rate sensor (included), you can move your fitness program to a new level.
Appearance and design of the Smartwatch
The Garmin Fenix 5 offers a 1.2" large, circular, colour display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. Unlike any other smartwatches on the market, the display does not shine and it stands out in sharpness and excellent readability in the day, even in bright sunlight.

The Fenix 5 Smartwatch is one of the best-equipped smart watches today and offers a wide range of training features. These are different heart rate alarm settings, runtime, angularity, distance, and performance. It is also possible to use the pre-prepared training plans for running or cycling.

For fans of winter sports, Fenix 3 offers downhill and downhill skiing. Thanks to the built-in barometer, the watch recognises when you are skiing and when you are on a lift.
Wireless connectivity
The Fenix 5 features the ability to connect to Android and iOS smartphones via Bluetooth. The watch is then able to display your phone's notification. Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi, the watch is able to send training data or update the software without having to switch on a computer or your mobile phone. There is also the wireless ANT+ standard that is mainly used for the connection of fitness accessories.
