Perfect coverage and radiance
White paint requires a specific application technique. If you are applying Alpine White to a dark or unevenly coloured surface, it is essential to apply more coats (up to 7–8) to achieve a perfect snow-white finish without the original colour showing through. To achieve maximum vibrancy, take your time and ensure that each layer is evenly saturated.
A key role as a foundation:
Alpine White is not just a standalone shade, but an absolutely essential base for achieving the right effect with other Racer Dip variants. It acts as a highlighter for:
Neon colours: Without a white base, the neon shades won't really pop.
Star Silver and Orient Gold: The metallic grain stands out much more clearly against a white background.
Fiery Red and Neon Yellow: A white base ensures maximum vibrancy and an electrifying tone.
Technological process:
1. Surface decontamination: The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of grease and dirt. The manufacturer recommends using isopropyl alcohol, which ensures 100% paint adhesion.
2. Layering: Apply in thin layers; the first layer is just a light dusting. Each additional layer gradually builds up an opaque white barrier.
3. Curing: Full mechanical strength is achieved after 24 hours.
Recommendations and maintenance:
Neon and bright pigments are semi-transparent. If you were to spray them directly onto a dark surface, the colour would look dull and "dirty". Alpine White creates a clean, reflective base that makes the top coat really pop. White is more prone to showing dirt, but thanks to the Racer Dip’s smooth rubber surface, dirt doesn’t penetrate deeply. The car can be washed as normal using a pressure washer (at a distance of 30 cm) or a gentle car shampoo. The paint is 100% removable, even when applied in multiple layers – the more layers you apply (especially white on a dark surface), the stronger the film becomes and the easier it will be to peel it off in one piece later on without the risk of it tearing.
Fuel consumption depends on the size of the wheels and the intended use.
The following applies to a standard set of 4 tyres up to 17 inches in size:
1. As a standalone colour for dark rims: 4 to 5 sprays for 100% snow-white coverage and intensity.
2. As a base for neon paint: Two sprays are enough for the whole set (this will create 2–3 light base coats).
Notice:
For wheels measuring 18 inches or more, we recommend purchasing an extra can to ensure the coating is thick enough.
