The kit contains the HmIP-HAP Central Unit, PIR motion detector HmIP-SMI and window and door sensor HmIP-SWDM, for the basic security of every home with the possibility of modular expansion and the purchase of other components of the Homematic IP security and smart home system as fire detectors, PIR motion detectors, sirens, keyboard, flood sensors, remote controls, switched sockets, etc.
The central unit is the heart of your smart home
The wireless connection of Homematic IP sub-devices to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit offers convenient setup and control of a comprehensive smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud. It allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the device, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.
Indoor alarm motion detector with brightness sensor
The HmIP-SMI motion detector is activated when its PIR sensor detects active motion. The system immediately performs the pre-configured operation and informs you of the event via push notification in the Homematic IP mobile app on your smartphone. In addition, the integrated brightness sensor enables automatic lighting control when motion is detected or for greater comfort and maximum energy savings. Depending on the preset brightness value and the lighting conditions, the lighting in the room is activated only when necessary.
Magnetic alarm contact against intrusion of windows and doors
In security mode, the HmIP-SWDM sensor is activated as soon as the magnet parts are separated. An alarm is then triggered and the system immediately performs the preconfigured operation. The Homematic IP mobile app provides you with up-to-date information on alarm activity and protection status in your smart home system. At the same time, you'll have a complete overview of all events, whether you're on the road or anywhere else.
Capacity of the Homematic IP smart system
Up to 15 users, 80 system components, can be connected to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit. video cameras to verify events, configure automation control processes and create countless scenarios. By connecting an additional HmIP-HAP Central Unit, the system can be expanded by up to 40 additional system components (maximum 120 components and 2 Central Units per installation).

The free mobile app does not require registration and is designed for smart devices with Android and iOS operating systems.It is there to constantly adapt to modern trends, optimise and evolve according to your wishes and needs.
Voice control of the system
In addition to manual control and remote control via mobile app, the Homematic IP smart home system also offers voice control support and communication with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Home Connect Plus technology. For secure, stable and reliable communication between devices, Homematic IP has its own unique radio technology with encrypted security, making it the first smart home system whose protocol, IT and data security are regularly tested and certified by the independent VDE Institute.
Easy installation in just a few minutes
The Wireless communication and battery operation of the individual components of the starter kit offer the possibility of easy installation without the need for wiring. You connect the central unit to a 230 V network, connect it via an Ethernet cable to a standard router. You install the Homematic IP app and connect the devices by scanning the QR code. And that's it, in just a few steps you are done and you can start using the Homematic IP HmIP-SET10.
