Detailed High-Resolution Image
The 1/2.8" Progressive CMOS sensor provides an image in 4MP resolution (2560 × 1440) at a frame rate of up to 25/30 frames per second. The optical part offers a fixed lens with a focal length of 2.8mm, providing viewing angles of 90° horizontally, 50° vertically, and 107° screen sizely, or a variant with a 3.6mm lens. To efficiently manage data flow and storage space, the camera uses H.265 and H.264 video compression. This video compression technology effectively reduces bandwidth and storage media capacity requirements without loss of visual quality.
Night Vision
The device reliably monitors the designated area even in complete darkness thanks to the integrated infrared illuminator. The classic infrared night vision works with a range of up to 30m, which is sufficient to cover larger indoor rooms, corridors, or warehouses. The camera automatically activates the infrared LEDs when the ambient light intensity drops below a critical value, ensuring a continuous black-and-white video recording with clear object outlines.
Intelligent Person Detection and Instant Alerts
Smart monitoring algorithms focus on motion detection and specifically on the presence of a human body in the shot. The Human Detection feature instantly recognises a person in the guarded area and reduces false alarms caused by animals or changes in light. Users have the option to configure detection zones and focus attention only on key areas. When an incident is recorded, the camera sends instant notifications with a photo directly to the user's mobile phone for a quick response.
Audio Recording with Built-in Microphone
This security feature is equipped with an integrated hardware solution for capturing the audio track in the device's vicinity. The built-in microphone sensitively picks up all sounds and voices in the monitored area, which increases the informational value of the recordings being made. The audio accompaniment is saved along with the video and helps to more accurately identify what is happening in front of the lens during a live stream check or when replaying saved files.
Flexible Recording Storage
Users have several independent ways to store captured video recordings and images. Local storage is provided by an integrated MicroSD memory card slot that supports media up to 256GB. For longer-term recording or managing multiple cameras, a Network Video Recorder (NVR) can be used. Cloud storage is also available as part of the Imou Protect service, which offers secure data backup off-site with a free trial option.
Connection and Application
Wireless connectivity is provided by a 2.4GHz band Wi-Fi module with two antennas for stable signal reception, while a single Ethernet port RJ-45 with a speed of 100Mbps is also available for a wired network connection. The device is managed through the Imou App, which is available for Android and iOS operating systems and allows for remote image viewing and configuration of all functions.
