The Lacie Mobile SSD Secure 1TB external SSD is aimed at professionals who work with large files and require fast access and reliable security. With this drive, you can edit videos or work on large graphic projects directly from storage with no delay. Data is protected by AES-256 hardware encryption, combining high performance with advanced data security in a durable aluminium body. The modern USB-C interface, which also supports direct video recording, ensures connectivity across Windows, Mac, iPad, and iPhone platforms.
Sequential read speeds are up to 1050MB/s and write speeds are up to 1000MB/s. This performance reduces waiting times when copying large files, such as 4K videos or RAW photos. What's more, you can work smoothly directly from the connected storage, which is efficient when editing videos or photos without needing to copy data to your computer. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface fully utilises the potential of SSD technology.
LaCie Secure technology applies AES-256 hardware encryption, which protects the drive's contents with a password. Because the encryption process happens directly in the drive's hardware, the protection is independent of the operating system used and does not affect computer performance. In addition to digital security, the aluminium body provides mechanical protection for the internal components. The construction can withstand a drop from up to three metres, reducing the risk of data loss during transport.
The drive works with both Windows and macOS operating systems without needing to be reformatted. The USB-C connector supports connection to modern computers, iPads, and also iPhones. With this connectivity, you can record Apple ProRes 4K video directly to external storage, freeing up your phone's internal memory. The included LaCie Toolkit software is used to manage backups and synchronise files between multiple devices.
