Lanaform PO-100

Lanaform PO-100
Pulse oximetry is a non-invasive method used to measure blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) by monitoring the percentage of oxygenated hemoglobin in the blood as well as the pulse modulation index and to measure heart rate. The procedure has been in use for more than 20 years and is a basic check in medical practice to determine oxygen levels and prevent respiratory problems. The oxygen saturation value is considered unsafe if it is less than 90% in arterial blood. Under normal atmospheric conditions, the normal value is 100%. The multifunctional oxymeter also measures heart rate (pulse) and perfusion index (PI). The perfusion index measures the strength of the arterial pulse. It can be used as a diagnostic tool in low perfusion to prevent severe failure. The perfusion index must be between 0.3-20% and varies depending on the patient, his physical condition and the place of measurement.
