Levenhuk New Skyline Base 76/700 AZ1
The Levenhuk New Skyline BASE 76/700 AZ1 is a classic, easy-to-use Newtonian reflector telescope. You can use it to explore lunar craters, the planets of the Solar System, star clusters, and almost all objects in the Messier catalogue. The telescope is designed for aspiring astronomers of all ages and is ideal for observing in the field, away from city lights. The key advantage of this telescope is its extensive kit – everything you need for observation is already included in the package.
Key features of the Levenhuk New Skyline Base 76/700 AZ1 telescope
- Newtonian reflector for a clear image with minimal distortion
- Excellent performance for observing both the Solar System and deep-sky objects
- Easy-to-use AZ1 alt-azimuth mount requires no lengthy setup or learning
- Adjustable aluminium tripod that adapts to the observer's height
- Ideal choice for children and beginners
Mirror optics
The telescope's optics provide a clear, high-contrast image with excellent resolution and minimal colour distortion. A 10mm eyepiece and a 25mm eyepiece are included, so you can easily switch between different magnifications. The 25mm eyepiece provides a wide field of view, which is ideal for scanning the sky and locating objects. For a detailed image at high magnification, use the 10mm eyepiece. The 2× Barlow lens doubles the magnification of each eyepiece.
Easy control
The model comes with an AZ1 alt-azimuth mount. This lightweight telescope with a simple design is easy enough for a child to operate. Manually aiming the telescope is a great hands-on way to learn the constellations and navigate the night sky. The included 6×24 optical finderscope offers a wide field of view, which lets you quickly spot your desired target in the sky.
Design features
The durable aluminium tripod guarantees a stable image during observations and holds the telescope securely. The tripod legs can be adjusted from 650–1200mm, with the total adjustable tripod height being 700–1310mm, so both adults and children can observe comfortably. The accessory tray keeps all your accessories within easy reach.
