LP Record After the astounding success of their last studio album, "Love At First Sting", and the live album "World Wide Live", the Scorpions were under enormous pressure to deliver in 1988. The musicians retreated from the public eye and barricaded themselves in the studio for almost three years, meticulously working on the follow-up with producer Dieter Dierks. On "Savage Amusement", the Scorpions presented themselves as more mature and showed that, in terms of production technology, they belonged to the hard rock avant-garde more than ever. Despite all the changes, the album was still a typical Scorpions creation: a hefty dose of barely restrained aggression and dynamism, beautiful harmonies and melodies, brilliant guitars, and, of course, the unique voice of Klaus Meine.
