Megafyt Senna leaf tea 20 sachets
Megafyt Senna leaf tea spc.20 I
A herbal medicine intended for the short-term treatment of functional constipation. The product is intended for short-term use only, for a maximum of one to two weeks. Senna leaf tea can be taken by adolescents from 12 years of age and adults.
Dosage and method of use
The recommended dose is for adolescents 12 years and older and adults:
1 funnel bag once a day.
In most cases, it is sufficient to administer tea two to three times a week. The effect occurs in 8 to 12 hours.
Method of submission:
1 sachet (1.0 g) is poured over 0.25 l of boiling water and left to infuse in a covered container for 15 minutes. It must not be cooked. The tea is drunk warm, preferably at night. The infusion is always prepared fresh, immediately before use.
Duration of use:
The product is intended for short-term use only, for a maximum of one to two weeks.
If you do not feel better or get worse within 1-2 weeks, consult your doctor. Do not use senna leaf tea for more than 2 weeks without consulting a doctor. "
Contraindications
Like all medicines, this medicine may have side effects, but they may not occur in everyone. The preparation may cause skin reactions from hypersensitivity (itching, urticaria, redness of the skin). The product may cause crampy abdominal pain and watery stools, especially in patients with irritable colon. However, these symptoms are also manifested in overdose. In these cases, it is necessary to reduce dose. Chronic use can cause an imbalance in water and electrolyte levels, which can lead to the presence of protein and blood in the urine. During the course of taking the medicine, there may be a change in the colour of the urine (yellow or reddish-brown discolouration), which however, is not clinically significant and resolves spontaneously. Prolonged administration may cause pigmentation (staining) of the intestinal mucosa (pseudomelanosis coli), which usually resolves after discontinuation
Notice
Read the package insert carefully. Tea must not be taken by children under 12 years of age. Use in pregnant women and nursing mothers is not recommended. Do not use the tea in case of known hypersensitivity to the medicinal substance, intestinal obstruction, narrowing and/or flaccidity, appendicitis, inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, inflammation of the colon accompanied by ulcer formation), abdominal pain of unknown origin, fluid loss and electrolyte depletion.
Storage
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C in the original packaging to protect the product from moisture. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date the expiry date indicated on the box and the packaging of the pouch after EXP. Shelf life applies the last day of the month indicated.
