The compact, dual-tower Noctua NH-D9 DX-4677 4U cooler is designed specifically for Intel Xeon processors on LGA4677 and LGA4710 platforms, ensuring efficient heat dissipation in space-constrained server and workstation builds. The design is based on the proven NH-D9L solution and, combined with a pair of NF-A9 HS-PWM 92mm fans, it delivers high cooling performance while maintaining optimal compatibility in 4U cases. The factory-applied NT-H1 thermal paste simplifies installation and ensures constant thermal contact.

Optimised base and professional mounting solution
The cooler uses an enlarged contact surface tailored to the unusually large IHS of these processors and directs airflow parallel to the long axis of the socket, increasing cooling efficiency. The cooler includes the professional SecuFirm2™ mounting system and pre-applied NT-H1 thermal paste for quick and reliable installation.
Optimisation for Xeon systems and mounting solution
The DX series coolers were created as a solution for quiet and efficient cooling of Xeon processors. Their design supports stable operation in noise-sensitive environments. It includes a mounting solution compatible with Intel installation kits, which uses standard elements including an anti-tilt mechanism, Torx® T30 PEEK nuts and specific processor carrier frames. Compatibility includes CPU carrier types (E1A, E1B, E1C, E2A, E2B).
Customised for LGA4677 and LGA4710 platforms
The DX-4677 variant is designed for E1 (LGA4677-1) and E2 (LGA4710-2) sockets. The enlarged 70×56mm copper base is optimised for their large integrated heat spreaders, ensuring uniform heat transfer to the heatpipe system. The supplied NF-A9 fans, in a high-speed 2500RPM version, provide efficient cooling in a push/pull configuration and support PWM.
Spatial flexibility and controlled airflow
Thanks to its 95×95mm footprint (with the central fan) and 134mm height, the cooler can be easily installed in most 4U rack cases without restricting access to PCIe slots. The airflow is oriented parallel to the long axis of the sockets, which is advantageous for systems with a defined air tunnel direction or workstations requiring upward heat dissipation.
