The INVITAL TerraPure overflow filter is a cleaning system designed for terrariums and turtle tanks with aquatic reptiles and amphibians. Its unique design means it's fully functional even in low water levels. At the heart of the filter is an energy-efficient pump with a power consumption of just 3W, and you can seamlessly adjust its hydraulic output from 50 to 300L/h. The spacious filter chamber is ready for various types of media for mechanical and chemical water purification.

Shallow water operation and flow control
The filter is designed to work reliably even in tanks with low water levels, which is natural for animals like turtles. The low-positioned intake slots ensure full functionality with a minimum water column height of just 3cm. You can easily adapt the water flow to the size of your biotope using the manual regulator on the filter head. This lets you seamlessly throttle the pump's output across a wide range, from 50 to 300L/h, making it suitable for even very small tanks.
Modular filter system
The spacious filter chamber can handle even heavy soiling. The basic package includes a cartridge that combines fine filter floss for mechanically trapping debris and activated carbon. The carbon chemically binds dissolved substances, thereby removing odours and water discolouration. However, the modular chamber design allows for individual upgrades with highly porous biological substrates, such as ceramic rings, which maximise the surface area for nitrifying bacteria.
Durable construction and mounting
The filter is constructed from chemically inert and tough polymers. This material is also UV-stable and offers long-term resistance to both the more aggressive environment in a terrarium and the physical pressure from the animals kept inside. A combined mounting system ensures a stable position in the tank. You can use three strong suction cups or a robust hanging clip with an adjustable span for glass 4 to 20mm thick.
