Priessnitz chest wrap 45-65cm, blue

The Mamavis wrap is designed for children and can be applied to the chest, abdomen, back, or hips. It's made from cotton that is gentle on sensitive children's skin. The Velcro fastening adjusts to fit a body circumference of 45 to 65cm. It can be used for a classic wet application or as a dry, warming wrap. It includes a removable insert with a pocket for herbs to enhance its effect.

How to use and prepare

For a classic Priessnitz compress, soak the inner cotton part in cold water, wring it out thoroughly, and place it inside the wrap. Then apply the wrap to the body and fasten it with the Velcro. The cold initially causes the blood vessels to constrict, which is followed by their dilation, leading to increased blood flow and warming of the affected area. For a warm application, you can heat the inner part on a radiator or by ironing it through a tea towel and apply it to the body as a dry compress. You can also place medicinal herbs in the pocket.

Material maintenance

Wash the outer belt and the inner removable part separately. When washing, do not use aggressive detergents or bleaches, which could damage the cotton fabric. After washing, let both parts air-dry completely. This will prevent the formation of mould. Make sure all parts are dry before storing.
