Key features of the Philips Festavia permanent string lights, 18m, 32 pods, white
- The Philips Festavia permanent string light represents the next generation of smart string lights designed for permanent, year-round outdoor installation
- Chromasync™ technology enables smooth, rich colour transitions for each 'light capsule' (pod) without harsh edges
- Each light pod reaches an output of 50 lumens, ensuring sufficient brightness for outdoor decorations
- Designed for permanent placement on facades, under eaves or along the roof – no need to pack them away after the holidays
- Extremely durable (IP65): Resists water and weather, and has a long lifespan (50000 hours), ensuring reliability in rain, snow and sun
- Offers bright, rich colours thanks to Chromasync™ technology and dedicated white LEDs that produce a wide spectrum of white shades (from warm to cool)
- Can be connected to the Philips Hue Secure system
- The lights can flash red during an alarm or turn on when motion is detected, increasing home security
- Simple low-voltage connection to an outdoor socket and easy installation (adhesive tape or screws) without the need for complex electrical work
- Expandable modules (e.g., 9m extension sections) allow connection up to a total length of 45m
A permanent, year-round outdoor solution
The Philips Hue Festavia Permanent LED string light is designed for those who want their house facade illuminated continuously throughout the year, not just at Christmas. Thanks to its low-volt design, you just need to plug it into an outdoor socket without any complex modifications. Adhesive tape or screws are used for secure attachment to gables, eaves or facades. The aim is for the lights to be installed once and for all, saving the time and effort of yearly packing and unpacking.
Light capsules with Chromasync™ effects
Festavia Permanent uses Chromasync™ technology, which allows each 'capsule' of the light strip to display subtle, smooth transitions between colours – from saturated tones to pastel shades. Each pod is designed to be visually striking even from a distance, while also blending with other exterior lighting effects.
Brightness and colour combinations with white LEDs
Each light pod provides approximately 50 lumens, which is enough for decorative lighting on facades and rooflines. Alongside rich and vibrant colours, the string light is also equipped with dedicated white LEDs that provide a wide range of white tones, from the warmest to the coolest, suitable for everyday lighting.
A rich selection of dynamic effects
The lighting is fully integrated into the Philips Hue app, which provides easy remote control, scheduling, and the activation of dynamic scenes and special effects. Popular effects include Sparkle or Prism, which add a magical touch to your decorations. The string can also be synchronised with music via Spotify to create a pulsating light show, ideal for outdoor celebrations and parties.
Smart integration in the Hue ecosystem
To use all features, such as away-from-home control and automations, you need to pair the lights with a Hue Bridge. One of the key features is the ability to integrate with Philips Hue Secure products. The lights can be automatically activated by a motion sensor or serve as a visual alarm. In the event of an unauthorised intrusion detection, a light alarm can be triggered, causing the string to flash red, helping to deter potential intruders.
