TFT-Touchdisplay Plus for intuitive control
The high-contrast colour TFT-Touchdisplay Plus makes all the oven's functions and settings easy to see. The touch controls and clearly structured menu let you quickly browse through the different options and simply select your desired mode. The intuitive navigation helps you take full advantage of the oven's wide range of functions.
cookControl Pro – the automatic route to your desired result
The cookControl Pro feature makes preparing a wide variety of dishes easier with preset automatic programmes. Simply select the food you are preparing and your desired result, and the oven will set the appropriate cooking parameters itself. It automatically manages the cooking process and switches off when the programme is finished, so you don't need to constantly check the time or set the individual values manually.
Cooking Assistant recommends the right settings
If you are unsure about the right heating type for a particular dish, the Cooking Assistant in the Siemens Home Appliances app can help. Once you enter the dish, it recommends the corresponding settings or heating method, and you can then send the selected parameters directly to the oven. To use this feature, simply connect your appliance to your Home Connect account.
fullSteam Plus – faster steaming at 120°C
The fullSteam Plus function combines steam with a higher temperature of up to 120°C, speeding up the preparation of certain foods. Harder vegetables, potatoes or pulses can be ready up to 50% faster than with standard steaming at 100°C. The gentle steam cooking also helps to preserve more vitamins and other nutrients.
Home Connect for remote oven control
Once connected to Home Connect, you can manage the SIEMENS CS736G1B2 iQ700 oven from your mobile device. You can start and stop supported programmes remotely, change settings, manage your favourites, or monitor the cooking progress. You receive a notification when the programme is finished, and you can also control supported functions by voice using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
4D hot air for even results
4D hotAir technology uses a powerful fan to distribute heat quickly and evenly throughout the entire oven. This means you can cook your food on any level and get perfectly even baking and consistent results. The hot air effectively reaches every part of the cooking space, expanding your options for preparing different types of dishes.
fastPreheat and coolStart save time
The fastPreheat function reduces the time it takes to heat the oven to the desired temperature. For frozen foods, coolStart is available, which lets you start cooking without preheating. This allows you to better match the preparation time to the instructions on the packaging and save time in your daily cooking.
airFry for crispy results with less oil
The airFry function is perfect for things like homemade potato or vegetable crisps. Simply use a small amount of oil and the hot air will create a crispy finish. For optimal results, you can purchase the HZ629070 airFry & Grill tray, which can also be used for grilling.
Recipes and inspiration in Home Connect
The Home Connect app gives you access to a wide range of recipes and other inspiration through supported partner services. Once you've chosen a recipe, you can simply transfer the corresponding settings directly to your oven. This saves you from having to manually find the right temperature or heating mode, making it easier to try out new recipes.
Online support directly in the app
Home Connect also helps you get to know your appliance's features or troubleshoot any issues. The interactive user manual offers advice, tips, and specific instructions, and you can also use remote diagnostics if needed. With your permission, customer service can check the connected appliance remotely and help determine the next steps.
softMove for gentle opening and closing
The oven door is equipped with an intelligent softMove damping system. The mechanism ensures gentle and quiet opening and closing without any sudden jolts. This makes handling the door more comfortable and refined during daily use.

Can a built-in oven combined with a microwave replace a standalone microwave?
Yes, it can fully replace it. A combination appliance handles heating and defrosting just as well as a regular microwave, while also saving kitchen space. It's ideal for quick meal prep — combining hot air and microwaves, for instance, shortens cooking time.
What is the difference between a standard, steam, added steam, and combi steam oven?
An added steam oven is a classic oven that releases pulses of steam during baking, keeping food juicy inside and crispy outside. A combi steam oven has a full steam generator, letting you cook with pure steam or combine steam with hot air. The term "steam oven" is often used for appliances that cook only with steam and have no conventional heating element.
Dimensions of the oven interior/trays?
A standard oven (60 cm high) has an interior volume of roughly 60–75 liters, with trays around 46 × 37 cm. Compact ovens (45 cm high) have a smaller volume, about 45–50 liters, and correspondingly narrower trays.
Why should I want a steam oven?
Cooking with steam is healthier, since it preserves vitamins and minerals, keeps food's color and flavor intact, and leaves meat especially juicy. It's also great for reheating leftovers, which end up tasting fresh again.
What is the difference between a compact and a standard oven?
The main difference is height — standard ovens are 60 cm, compact ones 45 cm. Compact models suit smaller kitchens well or work nicely as a second oven in a setup, for example mounted above a standard oven.
What kind of connection does the oven have?
Most modern standalone ovens plug into a regular 230V outlet with a standard plug. More powerful models, or combined sets with a hob, may need a 400V (three-phase) connection installed by a professional.
Does the oven have any cleaning program?
Yes, most ovens offer at least one of the following: pyrolysis (burning residue to ash at around 500°C), catalysis (special liners that absorb fat), or hydrolysis/AquaClean (steam cleaning using water poured into a tray).
What is EcoClean?
It's a special surface coating, often ceramic, that absorbs and breaks down fats during baking. It's very durable and, with proper use, lasts the entire lifetime of the oven.
What is ActiveClean/pyrolysis?
It's the most thorough form of self-cleaning. The oven locks itself and heats up to an extreme temperature, turning all residue to ash. Once it's cooled down, the interior just needs a wipe with a damp cloth.
What is a pull-out system?
This refers to telescopic rails — sliding guides that let you pull a tray safely out of the oven without having to hold it. This greatly reduces the risk of the tray tipping over or getting burned.
I don't see any steam inside the steam oven.
That's completely normal. At high temperatures, steam is invisible since it's a colorless gas. It only becomes visible as mist once it cools down, for example when the door is opened.
Why is air blowing between the door and the control panel?
That's the cooling fan at work. Its job is to cool the electronics and the space between the door's glass panes, keeping the control panel from overheating and protecting nearby furniture from heat damage.
