The lens employs an entirely new optical design and first-rate components that have undergone thorough testing. That is why the camera lens contains 2 FLD (fluorite) elements and two special glass FLD lenses, thanks to which it boasts ultra-low dispersion and high refractive index values to achieve the top-class performance.
What also stands out as a part of its autofocus system is the Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM). Its high torque helps to achieve faster autofocus. Via a Sigma USB dock (not included), you can not only upgrade the firmware, but also adjust the focus settings or positions. If you want to add a blurry background to highlight a person or an object, the 9-blade iris diaphragm creates an astounding bokeh effect.
