Wi-Fi connectivity and speed
The Teltonika TAP400 WiFi Access Point uses modern 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ax wireless standards. Three internal non-detachable antennae with 5dBi gain ensure stable signal propagation. MU-MIMO technology optimises transmissions for multiple connected users simultaneously, increasing the overall efficiency of the network. The speed on the 2.4GHz band reaches up to 576Mb/s, while on the 5GHz band it is up to 2402Mb/s.
Network functions and Mesh technology
This access point supports Wi-Fi Mesh technology for easy expansion of wireless coverage and a Fast Roaming function for a seamless transition of users between nodes without dropouts. Administrators can configure up to 8 separate SSIDs to effectively separate corporate and guest traffic. The Teltonika RMS central management system enables remote configuration, monitoring and real-time troubleshooting, including network topology visualisation using a network map.
Security and traffic management
Network security is ensured by modern WPA2-Enterprise and WPA3 encryption protocols, which protect sensitive data from unauthorised access. An integrated firewall and Port Forwarding function provide an additional layer of protection against external threats. Quality of Service (QoS) manages traffic by prioritising critical data flows. The device also offers a DHCP server, DHCP client and support for a DHCP Client List.
Connectivity and PoE power of the Teltonika TAP400 WiFi Access Point
Connectivity is provided by a single 2.5GbE RJ45 port supporting 100/1000/2500Mb/s speeds, which serves for both data transmission and power via active PoE according to the IEEE 802.3af standard. The device supports an input voltage of 44 to 57V DC, so a separate power adapter is not needed. The compact 15.8 × 15.8 × 3.14cm chassis allows for ceiling or wall mounting.
