The Thomson THM1200KIT WiFi extender expands and stabilises wireless networks in homes and offices. This two-unit set replaces your existing Wi-Fi network without you needing to change your modem or router. The device operates on two bands and transfers data at a total speed of up to 1200Mb/s. Integrated Easy Mesh technology connects the individual points into a single network with a unified name. This allows users to move freely around the space without interrupting the connection. The system uses the WiFi 5 standard and supports simultaneous operation on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for optimal data flow distribution.

Speed and frequency bands
The device achieves speeds of 300Mb/s on the 2.4GHz band and 867Mb/s on the 5GHz band. This combination provides enough capacity for smooth video streaming, gaming and regular web browsing. MU-MIMO technology enables simultaneous communication with several wireless devices at once. Four internal antennas transmit the signal evenly in all directions. The system automatically assigns connected devices to the most suitable frequency band based on current network load.
Reliable coverage
The basic two-unit set covers an area of up to 200m². If needed, the network can be expanded with up to four additional units for a total of six. Such a configuration can then cover an area of up to 800m² over several floors. The smart roaming function ensures that mobile phones and tablets always connect to the unit with the strongest signal. The user only needs one SSID and one password for the entire network throughout the house.
Simple setup
Installation requires no expert knowledge or complicated parameter settings. Simply connect the first unit to your existing modem with an Ethernet cable. The second unit pairs by pressing the Connect & Secure button on both devices. Once successfully paired, the second unit can be placed in any room within signal range. The THOMSON mesh manager mobile app makes it easy to manage the network directly from your Android or iOS smartphone.
Wired connection options
Each unit has three gigabit Ethernet ports on its body. Specifically, these are two LAN ports and one combined WAN/LAN port. These connectors are used for wired connections to desktop computers, game consoles, smart TVs or network storage. A wired connection via the gigabit ports eliminates wireless interference and provides a stable transfer speed for demanding data transfers.
Security and network functions
Modern WPA, WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise and WPA3 encryption standards take care of data security. The security features are complemented by an integrated firewall and the option to create a separate Guest Zone for visitors. The parental control function lets you restrict internet access for selected devices in the household. Support for the IPv6 Ready protocol prepares the network infrastructure for future internet addressing standards.
Physical properties and consumption
The unit has a square shape with dimensions of 3 × 13 × 13cm and weighs 440g. The black design is complemented by LED indicators for power, internet and pairing. The power consumption of a single unit is just 8W. The device operates reliably in a temperature range of 0°C to +45°C with a non-condensing air humidity of 10% to 90%. The package includes all the necessary power adaptors and an Ethernet cable for immediate connection.
