Fliptown is a flip-and-write game where you try to score victory points by exploring the Wild West town of Fliptown. The game is driven by a standard deck of poker cards, and you record the combinations with dry-erase markers on your player board – a map of Fliptown and its surroundings.

How to play
On each turn of Fliptown, you turn over three cards, assigning one to represent your suit, one to represent your value, and one to be your poker card. The suit determines which of the four regions you activate, the value determines which location within that region you can circle, and the poker card goes towards a five-card poker hand that is scored at the end of each round. Each of the four regions – Trail, Badlands, Mine, and Town – offers a different puzzle to solve, while each location within a region provides a unique reward, such as cash, gold, useful items like guns, horses and tools, or bonus actions. Your task is to create the strongest possible combinations from just three cards.
Game variants
In the solo game, Fliptown can be played to achieve the highest score or to compete against one of four robotic 'cowbot' opponents, each with its own motivation. In a multiplayer game, players use the same cards from the centre of the table, playing simultaneously and scoring each turn at the same time. Additionally, bounty cards add competitive goals that players race to achieve. In addition to the standard game of Fliptown, you can play as one of 14 Wild West characters, each with a unique set of starting resources and an asymmetric special ability.
