OptiNAND technology for higher recording density
OptiNAND technology integrates iNAND® Universal Flash Storage (UFS) as an embedded flash drive (EFD) with traditional rotating disk media, introducing innovative changes to firmware algorithms and the System-on-a-Chip (SoC). OptiNAND is not a hybrid technology. The drive works smarter thanks to firmware with improved algorithms utilising extended metadata that has been moved to iNAND, enabling more tracks per inch (TPI) and thus higher areal density.
