The Brother MFC-J inkjet printer is designed for colour and monochrome printing, scanning, copying and faxing in an office environment. The device handles a recommended monthly workload of up to 2500 pages and uses MAXIDRIVE print technology for consistent performance. It supports fast duplex printing and scanning to make everyday document management easier. Users can connect via USB, a LAN port or a wireless WiFi network. Control is made easy with the 4.3" (10.9cm) touchscreen display. Sensitive information is protected with three-level security at the device, network and document level. Fast printing and tray capacity
The device uses MAXIDRIVE print technology with a piezoelectric chip. Both monochrome and colour printing run at up to 28 pages per minute according to the ISO standard. The printer produces the first monochrome page in 4.5s. The high print resolution of 4800×1200dpi contributes to sharp text and detail on paper. The input trays hold up to 600 sheets of standard paper to reduce how often you need to refill them. The output tray has a capacity of 150 sheets. The device supports A4, A5, A6 and 10×15cm photo paper formats. The integrated duplex unit performs automatic double-sided printing of documents without the need to manually turn the pages. The printer also handles DL or Com-10 envelopes.
Modern connectivity and mobile printing
The printer offers several connection options for integration into an office network. A classic USB interface, Gigabit Ethernet wired connection and wireless WiFi technology are all available. Support for dual-band WiFi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies contributes to stable wireless data transfer during printing. The Wi-Fi Direct function is used for direct connection to the device without needing an access point. For working from mobile devices, it is compatible with Apple AirPrint and Mopria technologies. The Brother Mobile Connect app lets you control print functions, check ink levels and download scanned files directly to your smartphone. Users can print documents directly from a USB drive plugged into the front port. The system also supports scanning directly to a connected USB storage device.
Powerful scanning and copying
The multifunctional device includes a flatbed scanner with an optical resolution of 1200×1200dpi for colour scanning, 1200×2400dpi for monochrome, and an automatic document feeder. The duplex automatic feeder makes it easy to process multi-page documents. The device scans at up to 30 pages per minute in duplex mode. The integrated fax operates at a transmission speed of 33600bps and supports sending and receiving documents directly via a computer.
