Supports your baby's natural drinking rhythm
The Natural Response trainer cup with a capacity of 150ml mimics the way a baby sucks. Thanks to the comfortable handles, your child easily learns to hold the cup by themselves. An anti-colic valve prevents them from swallowing air, reducing the risk of a sore tummy and painful colic. It is designed for babies from 6 months. Milk releases from the teat only when the baby actively drinks, preventing drips and spills. This Philips AVENT SCF263/61 pack includes a cup and a size 5 teat with a very fast flow.
The trainer cup with a Natural Response teat closely mimics the way a baby sucks from the breast. Milk does not flow spontaneously; your baby must actively suck, just like during breastfeeding. This cup is ideal for combining bottle-feeding and breastfeeding.
The Philips AVENT SCY933/01 bottle features an anti-colic valve that prevents your baby from swallowing air during feeding. This reduces the risk of a bloated tummy and uncomfortable colic.
The Philips AVENT SCF263/61 cup is designed to make the transition to independent drinking easy. Soft, non-slip handles are shaped for an easy grip by tiny hands. It features a wide teat for a natural latch-on and is easy to clean and sterilise. The pack contains a trainer cup and a size 5 teat with a very fast flow.
The baby must actively suck to get the milk. When they stop sucking, the milk stops flowing. This prevents drips and makes feeding completely mess-free.
When bottle-feeding, it is crucial to choose the right milk flow. Every baby learns to drink at their own pace and their needs change over time. Some babies prefer the teat marked with 0 ("First Flow") and then transition to other teats with a faster flow. There are seven flow rates in total: 0 first flow, 1 very slow flow, 2 slow flow, 3 medium flow, 4 fast flow, 5 very fast flow, 6 for thick feeds.
You can use this bottle and teat with complete confidence as they are made of 100% safe silicone. They are free from BPS, phthalates, PVC and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
Philips Avent Natural Response teats now feature updated age recommendations. However, when choosing a teat, it is more important to focus on the flow rate than the age of the baby. Every baby sucks at a different rate and has different needs. If your baby is happy during feeding and drinks smoothly and effortlessly, you are using the correct flow rate. If they get frustrated while drinking or if the milk flows too quickly, we recommend choosing a different flow rate to suit their individual needs.
