LP Record Although Scott Hansen grew up listening to everything from Yes to Photek, he didn't get his hands on a real guitar or a drum machine until 1995, when he left his native Sacramento for San Francisco. "Learning this whole new world at twenty years old was a profound experience," says Hansen, better known by his musical pseudonym Tycho and as the graphic designer ISO50. "I was just learning about the processes of design and music at the time; they both felt very similar and have always bled back and forth for me ever since." As fluid as his two creative paths were, it would be almost a decade before the release of Hansen's first proper Tycho LP, Sunrise Projector (later expanded and re-released as Past Is Prologue).
