Krall said of the album: "This album is about the songs I love and the people who inspired me. I'm so grateful to have worked with David Foster, who produced and played on the album. He's such a musical genius and I'm incredibly lucky to have had the chance to work with him." The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 97000 copies in its first week. It also debuted at number one on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.
