Deep Purple: To The Rising Sun (In Tokyo)
LP Record There's no need for nostalgia. Double is better – that's why Deep Purple are releasing two new live recordings in 2015. "To The Rising Sun" is one of them, capturing the rock band's performance in Tokyo in April 2014. They chose the Japanese martial arts and concert hall, the Nippon Budōkan, as the recording venue. This is where Deep Purple recorded a large part of their legendary double album "Made In Japan" back in 1972. On "To The Rising Sun", they returned to the same spot 42 years later – albeit with a slightly different line-up. Singer Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover, and drummer Ian Paice were already rocking Tokyo back in 1972. In 2014, they were joined by Steve Morse on guitar and Don Airey on Hammond organ and keyboards.

LP Record Since their formation in 2008, the Moldovan progressive modern metal band Infected Rain, led by the multi-talented frontwoman Lena Scissorhands, has become one of the most exciting acts on the scene. With their frenetically received 2019 album "Endorphin", the band gained a loyal fanbase all over the world, who are now eagerly awaiting its successor, "Ecdysis". Tom Tom Club: Tom Tom Club Ltd Clr
LP Record Talking Heads spawned a number of side projects, but none were as fun and captivating as Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth's Tom Tom Club. Their debut was recorded in 1982 after the exhausting recording sessions for the "Remain in Light" album in Barbados with Adrian Belew and Steve Stanley from the band Remain in Light. Although the recordings were initially just for fun, "Tom Tom Club" became hugely influential with its blend of alternative and hip hop, and features the hit singles "Wordy Rappinghood" and "Genius of Love". - This reissue from Real Gone Music includes the original elaborate album artwork – a limited edition in honour of the album's Barbadian beginnings.

John Coltrane: My Favorite Things Ltd Clr
LP Record My Favourite Things is a key element of Coltrane's discography. He already had several recordings for Atlantic Records under his belt, but these were made with hired musicians and presented 'Trane' within the accepted hard bop genre, although he was making great strides in his playing and harmonic exploration. Here, however, he recorded the first album with his new musicians, McCoy Tyner and Elvin Jones (Steve Davis, although perfectly capable, was just the first in a line of bassists Coltrane worked his way through before meeting Jimmy Garrison). The music created for this album at the end of 1960 was fundamentally different from what had come before, as Coltrane forged his own path, moving on from his last collaborator, Miles Davis.

Franz Ferdinand: You Could Have It So Much Better
LP Record Franz Ferdinand's second album, You Could Have It So Much Better, was released in 2005. The album marked a departure from the band's debut, featuring a more polished and pop-oriented sound. It was a commercial success, reaching number one in the UK and number two in the US. It achieved platinum certification in both countries. The album's lead single, "Do You Want To", peaked at number one in the UK and number two in the US. Other singles from the album, "The Fallen" and "Walk Away", also reached the top ten in the UK.

The jazz saxophonist does what he always does: he explores new ways of playing with a relentless drive for personal and artistic development. On the Ballads album, he highlights his gentler side – a path he also took with Johnny Hartman and Duke Ellington. This collaboration with McCoy Tyner is neither confrontational nor outwardly focused. Coltrane is completely at one with himself, sometimes predictable, and yet these are the album's strengths.

LP Record After a six-year recording break, musician and producer Alan Wilder returns with his fifth RECOIL studio album, "subHuman", released by EMI Music Germany (Mute). As Vince Clarke's successor, Wilder was the former fourth man in Depeche Mode and was responsible for their style-defining sound in the 80s and 90s. As a counterpoint to the demands of Depeche Mode, he founded his studio project RECOIL in the mid-eighties, and the resulting albums "Hydrology" (1988) and "Bloodline" (1992) highlighted his ever-expanding horizons.
