Tom Waits: Closing Time
LP Record The seventies still shape Tom Waits's image to this day. Although the singer, songwriter, actor, and writer, born in 1949 in Pomona, California, has lived a relatively well-off, middle-class life for decades, he still holds a romantic reputation as a drifter, an eccentric, and a lover of alcohol. A blend of Charles Baudelaire and a young Charles Bukowski, he gives a grumpy voice to those in the gutter of high society. The starting point was Waits's debut album, "Closing Time", released in March 1973. The record was made the year before in just ten days with a studio band led by producer Jerry Yester.
Eros Ramazzotti: Calma Apparente CLR
LP Record Released in 2005, Eros Ramazzotti's album "Calma Apparente" is a collection of heartfelt tracks that showcase the Italian singer's distinctive voice and romantic songwriting. The album blends pop and rock influences, with songs exploring themes of love, life and introspection. Notable tracks include "La Nostra Vita", which sets the tone for the album with its energetic rhythm and passionate lyrics. 'L'Equilibrista' and 'Bambino nel Tempo' continue to demonstrate Ramazzotti's talent for crafting emotive melodies. A highlight of the album is the powerful duet 'I Belong to You' with American singer Anastacia, which combines Ramazzotti's smooth Italian vocals with Anastacia's soulful sound.

Miles Davis: Kind of Blue Num Dlx Ltd
LP Record Miles Davis' Kind of Blue is one of the most influential jazz albums of all time. Released in 1959, the album features Davis on trumpet alongside John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Bill Evans, and Wynton Kelly. The album was recorded in a single session, with the musicians improvising over melodic sketches provided by Davis. The album's influence can be heard in the work of later jazz musicians as well as in other musical genres. Kind of Blue is often cited as the first jazz album to feature modal jazz, a style of jazz that avoids chord progressions in favour of melodies based on scales.

Alphaville: Eternally Yours Ltd Clr
LP Record Alphaville's greatest hits from the band's 40-year history, completely rearranged and recorded with the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg. Alphaville, Germany's biggest synth-pop export and creator of the legendary 80s anthems "Big in Japan", "Sounds Like a Melody", and "Forever Young", ventures into the symphonic realm. The band reaches for the really big instruments, catapulting the greatest hits from their 40-year history from the sound of synthesisers and drum machines into the world of the symphonic orchestra – the human sound machine. "Eternally Yours" is more than just a simple translation of the songs into the sound spectrum of a large orchestra.
Jefferson Airplane: Surrealistic Pillow Ltd Num
LP Record Jefferson Airplane's album Surrealistic Pillow, released in 1967, is one of the most famous and influential albums of all time. The album became a huge hit, with its singles "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit" reaching the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album's psychedelic sound and lyrical themes helped define the San Francisco sound and the Summer of Love.
King Buffalo: Regenerator Ltd Clr
LP Record Out Of The Dark Strictly speaking, "Regenerator" is being released very late. After all, King Buffalo had already announced their entire pandemic trilogy, consisting of the albums "The Burden Of Restlessness", "Acheron", and "Regenerator", for 2021. But let's not be too harsh, as both of the Rochester trio's albums were among the absolute rock highlights of last year. King Buffalo describe their style as heavy psych, which captures their sound very well. The often overly long tracks are characterised by sprawling soundscapes and slowly building melodies and structures. Repetition to the point of trance, followed by maximum distortion in a crescendo.

Motörhead: Another Perfect Day
LP Record A reissue of the vinyl edition of the album "Another Perfect Day". "Another Perfect Day" (1983) is the first Motörhead studio album without guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke, who had recently left the band. He was replaced by Brian "Robbo" Robertson, who also left the group shortly afterwards. Robertson pushed the band towards more melodic guitar work (for example, in the songs "Shine" and "Dancing On Your Grave"), which almost shocked fans of the classic Motörhead sound. However, producer Tony Platt ensured that "Another Perfect Day" became one of the band's best-sounding albums in terms of audio quality.
