LP Record Herbie Hancock is one of the most prolific jazz pianists of the 20th century. A child prodigy, he played with such greats as Donald Byrd and Miles Davis. He was one of the first to embrace and master the electric piano, yet he always remained true to the acoustic sound. In fact, he constantly switched between electronic and acoustic sounds, touching upon almost every style of R&B, funk, and jazz while maintaining an original and distinctive voice. 1973's "Sextant" was recorded shortly before "Headhunters" and can be seen in the same vein, but it is more than just a prelude to a masterpiece. It features a kind of post-modern, free-form impressionism that touches the boundaries of funk.

Released in 1985, the album went Gold in the USA and Platinum in the UK, reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album's most notable single was his cover version of Daryl Hall's song "Every Time You Go Away", which hit number one on the US singles chart and number four in the UK. The album also includes the songs "I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down", "Everything Must Change", and "Tomb of Memories", which all charted well.
LP Record The Ronettes were a 1960s girl group from New York, formed by sisters Veronica and Estelle Bennett and their cousin Nedra Talley. The group was produced by the world-famous father of the "Wall of Sound", Phil Spector, and their legacy includes timeless favourites like "Be My Baby", "Baby, I Love You", "(The Best Part Of) Breakin' Up", and "Walking in the Rain", which even won a Grammy Award in 1965. "Presenting The Fabulous Ronettes (Featuring Veronica)" is the group's only studio album and made it onto Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2004, The Ronettes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Review: "Heavenly!" (Good Times, April/May 2013)
LP Record Review: "Classic Records has already released Jewelled Wreath in a high-quality vinyl edition. The MOV reissue, with its four-page insert, has nothing to hide. It just sounds a little thinner than the unreleased US import. An unreserved recommendation – and not just for melancholics." (Good Times, December 2015 / January 2016)
LP Record Dream Theater released their debut studio album, "When Dream and Day Unite", in 1989. With Charlie Dominici as lead singer, they took their first steps towards becoming one of the most famous progressive metal bands in the world. The band's distinctive musical signature is already clearly audible on this first album. Dream Theater reveal their influences from 70s and 80s progressive rock, from convulsive riffs to jazz-infused passages. It is a milestone in the development of progressive metal, an album filled with atmospheric keyboard sounds, epic vocals and powerful riffs.
LP Record Death Angel's 'Act III', released in 1990, is a pivotal thrash metal album that showcases the band's evolution and musical diversity. The album features a dynamic range of tracks, including the introspective 'A Room With A View', which highlights the band's ability to fuse melody with their signature aggressive sound. Other tracks like 'Seemingly Endless Time' and 'Stop' deliver the fast-paced, riff-heavy thrash that fans have come to expect from Death Angel. 'Veil Of Deception' offers a more complex and structured soundscape, while 'The Organization' continues to build on the band's solid musicianship and lyrical depth.
LP Record In 1982, Krokus released the album One Vice at a Time. The album was a commercial success, reaching number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart. LP Record The first incarnation of Atomic Rooster, featuring Vincent Crane (organ/vocals), Nick Graham (vocals/bass guitar), and Carl Palmer (drums), was only together long enough to record their 1970 debut album. Having risen from the ashes of the recently disbanded Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Graham – the only bassist Atomic Rooster ever had – was a last-minute addition to the band. The material was predominantly written by Crane, consisting of songs that were both heavy and versatile. A sense of agility is always present across the impressively distinct styles, from folk-inspired country songs and blues arrangements with horns to rock and jazz compositions. In his lyrics, Crane reveals his fondness for dark symbolism.
