Cinderella: Long Cold Winter

The Psycho Realm reached number 13 on the Heatseekers chart in 1997 and is an impressive collection of hardcore West Coast gangsta rap. The rhymes and music exude an undercurrent of menace, which is precisely why the album itself lands so perfectly. Surreal imagery and almost impressionistic music create genuine tension. It's more experimental than any average hip-hop album, a fact that makes it particularly worth a listen.

As a solo artist, he is celebrated on the international club scene. He has collaborated with a diverse range of artists across all genres, including Black Thought from The Roots, Herbie Hancock, and k.d. lang, to name just a few. After his group Krush Posse disbanded in 1991, he launched his solo career and was one of the first DJs to use turntables as a live instrument, quickly capturing everyone's attention. His eighth album, "Jaku", was released in 2004 and topped the US RPM chart for three weeks.
