A steaming basket is also included in all Tefal pressure cookers. Allowing you to cook healthy ingredients simultaneously with what is being cooked in the main chamber adding versatility to the product. The large 6 L capacity of the pot allows you to cook for up to six people at a time to entertain both friends and family.
The Secure 5 Features Five Safety Devices
Tefal Secure 5 has several systems that guarantee optimum safety in operation. It is equipped with a mechanism that prevents any rise in pressure if the lid is not completely or properly closed. If the lid is incorrectly positioned, the safety system will prevent the locking indicator pin from rising and consequently pressure from building up.
The operating valve is integrated in the handles and the practical controlled release will bring peace of mind for stress free cooking. The safe red pin confirm that the lid is sealed. The safety valve will de-pressurise the pot in the unlikely event of the gasket being blocked and finally the gasket will allow the pressure to be released between the lid and the pan.
Tefal started in 1954, when the brand was founded in France by Marc Grégoire after he made his first non-stick pan at home for his wife. He gradually applied this surface to other kitchen utensils and a new cooking revolution took over the world. During the brand's long history, it has created many breakthrough innovations, such as the wireless clothing iron. Today, Tefal's wide assortment offering includes not only every imaginable kitchen aid, but also irons and scales. From 1968, Tefal belongs to the large international Groupe SEB consortium.
