The processor operates at a base clock of 4.2GHz, which automatically boosts up to 5.4GHz under load using Precision Boost 2 technology. AMD EXPO simplifies the setup and stability of overclocked DDR5 memory modules, while Precision Boost Overdrive analyses power and cooling status to automatically push frequency limits beyond factory specifications.
Platform connectivity and memory support
Communication with other components is handled by the AMD TR5 socket, which forms the foundation of modern workstations. The integrated quad-channel memory controller works with DDR5 RAM, providing the high data throughput necessary to smoothly supply all 24 cores. Processor cores and threads
Processor cores work, to some extent, like separate processors and can handle computational tasks independently. This means that the more physical cores a processor has, the more tasks it can process simultaneously. Threads can be described as separate virtual cores, which all modern processors have. An eight-core processor typically has sixteen threads, enabling it to handle sixteen processes at once.
Processor frequency
