Effects of the Probiotic Culture Streptococcus salivarius K12
The first oral probiotic to supplement the friendly microbiota of the throat and oral cavity. It contains the probiotic culture Streptococcus salivarius K12, which produces peptides salivaricin A2 and salivaricin B, so-called bacteriocins. This bacterium can occupy strategic positions in the oral cavity, nasopharynx and middle ear, and can displace undesirable species. Studies show that Bactoral is able to colonise the oral cavity and upper respiratory tract as early as 3 days after the first administration and remains there for 32 days after discontinuation. Vitamin D contributes to the proper function of the immune system and healthy teeth.
When should you take Bactoral?
- Whenever you need to supplement the friendly oral microbiome in the oral cavity, nasopharynx or middle ear
- After finishing a course of antibiotics, to restore and stabilise the oral microbiome

Bulking agent (isomalt), Freeze-dried culture of Streptococcus salivarius K12, anti-caking agents (magnesium salts of fatty acids), strawberry flavouring, cholecalciferol.
Recommended dosage
Allow 1 tablet to dissolve slowly in the mouth daily. Ideally, take the product just before bedtime. Do not eat or drink after taking the tablet. For a faster onset of effect, you can take 2 tablets a day (1 in the morning, 1 in the evening, always after a meal). We always recommend finishing the entire pack. You can then take a break for about a month before repeating the course. Before the start of the winter season and during winter (October–March), Bactoral can be taken long-term at 1 tablet per day without a break. This also applies to the long-term protection of teeth and gums.
Warning
Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. This product is not intended as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Keep out of the reach of children.
Storage
Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature of up to 25°C. Improper storage may lead to a decrease in the number of live probiotic bacteria.
