Fujifilm Instax Wide 400 Black
The Fujifilm instax WIDE 400 wide-angle analogue camera is used for instant shooting and developing of images. The camera exposes the captured scene directly onto 86 × 108mm film. The practical self-timer with a four to ten-second setting makes it easy to take group photos without having to hold the camera body. Wide-Angle Shots
The camera uses the WIDE film format with image dimensions of 62 × 99mm. The format captures a wider scene than standard instant systems. The built-in retractable 95mm focal length lens has an aperture of f/14. The optical design contains two components and two elements for precise detail rendering. The film developing time is approximately 90 seconds, depending on the ambient temperature.
Automatic Exposure Setting
The Fujifilm instant camera automatically adjusts exposure parameters and regulates the flash according to the current ambient light. The user does not need to manually set the shutter speed or aperture. The programmable electronic shutter operates in a shutter speed range from 1/64 to 1/200 of a second. Group Photos
An analogue-controlled lever on the front triggers the integrated self-timer for group shots. The time delay can be set by turning the dial to 4, 6, 8, or 10 seconds. A bright LED indicator counts down the remaining time before the actual exposure. This allows group photos to be taken without having to hold the camera. Users can pose and watch the remaining time until the shutter is released.
Shooting Without a Tripod
The package includes a special accessory for adjusting the camera angle without needing a tripod. This small stand can be inserted under the camera body into a dedicated slot to select one of two tilt angles. The tripod thread on the bottom of the body is used for secure mounting on standard tripods for better stability. A shoulder strap is included in the package and makes carrying the device on the go easier.
Focusing Modes
The rotating ring on the lens is used to switch on the camera and select between two working ranges. The normal mode covers distances from 0.9m to 3m from the lens. The second Landscape mode focuses on subjects from 3m to infinity. For very close-up shots from a distance of 40 to 50cm, the included macro attachment can be fitted to the lens for detailed images. Without the attachment, you can focus from a distance of 900mm.
Working with the Viewfinder
The through-the-lens viewfinder with 0.37× magnification includes guide lines for precise framing. One line helps with normal photography and the second corrects for parallax in close-up macro shots. The correct composition of the final image corresponds exactly to the view through the optical glass. The viewfinder with a target spot makes it easy to aim at the subject in any conditions. The entire system is powered by four standard AA alkaline batteries.
